Metamorphosis for De Gier Drive Systems

“We have laid the foundation for making a huge leap forward in the field of innovation and valuable partnerships”, Rob Sandberg of De Gier Drive Systems tells us.

The company’s production hall had already been expanded considerably. The purchase of new machines and the optimized internal logistic route means that a big step has been taken in terms of efficiency.

De Gier is ready to start new developments with their partners. Rob: “We would like to meet with both installers and growers to improve products and processes. We are good at drive technology. That is our core business. We focus on what we are good at. We don’t want to be distracted. Partners can also benefit from our focus. We like to collaborate with them.”

Large orders

A few years ago, De Gier started expanding the factory hall. The layout of the factory was changed completely and they have invested heavily in a completely new logistic set-up, a roll forming machine, a processing unit, a lathe, a rack and pinion milling machine, a gear machine and five high-tech assembly lines.

Rob Sandberg: “It was therefore not without reason that we were awarded the large order for 1,600 hectares of poly greenhouses for Egypt, based on the trust of our customer. We see our value with these kinds of large orders. We have delivered the order exactly according to plan.”

Metamorphosis

There was a small party for the entire staff in which Rob unveiled the new logo to illustrate the metamorphosis. The logo shows their drive systems by the circle symbol and the spinning arrow. The red color of the logo stands for active, energetic, leadership, ambitious, decisiveness and passion.

A new logo also requires a new story, a new corporate identity and a new website. The new site just went live.
